Tome Robot vs. Guidde

Same capture. Plus the part where it keeps itself honest.

Guidde is great at turning a recording into a narrated video or SOP. Tome Robot does that too — and then watches for UI drift, answers questions in plain English against your real recordings, and drafts updates automatically when your software changes.

When to pick which

Pick Tome Robot if…
  • ✓You want a searchable knowledge base, not just a library of videos.
  • ✓Your software changes often and you're tired of re-recording.
  • ✓You need grounded Q&A that cites real steps from real recordings.
  • ✓You want public and internal articles on the same platform.
Pick Guidde if…
  • •Your primary output is polished narrated video with AI voiceovers.
  • •You need 50+ languages of AI narration out of the box.
  • •You mostly export to MP4/PDF/GIF rather than operate a KB.

Why it matters

Guidde nailed the capture step. The hard part of documentation isn't creating the first version — it's keeping it true after the product ships a new nav. Tome Robot was designed around that second problem. Every screen your team records is remembered. When a nightly check notices the live UI has shifted, the article that references that screen is flagged and a draft update is generated from the most recent recording. You approve, publish, move on. Nobody re-records anything by hand just because a button moved three pixels.

What you lose by switching

If the primary thing you ship is narrated video in 50 languages, Guidde will feel richer on that dimension today. Tome Robot focuses on text-first articles with grounded screenshots, and the AI voiceover catalog isn't the pitch. For most internal and customer-support KBs that's the right tradeoff — but it's worth being honest that it's a tradeoff.

Want a KB that writes itself — and keeps itself honest?

That's the part Guiddedoesn't do.
